A place for old dogs and new tricks."

"The desert is where some of us go to learn the language of our souls again."

Dearest sister Kim, I love this, and how I needed to read it on this first morning of the calendar year. It seems we are journeying along the same road. You do know, do you not, that you are the finest and wisest of companions? xxxxx, Catekerrdelunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09779897207670867347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-657778252610307364.post-91926894569513758822011-12-31T20:11:08.497-08:002011-12-31T20:11:08.497-08:00Thanks both of you so much. And it was a few years ago, after many visits, that my husband and I decided that we too, love the Southwest! I want to settle in New Mexico. The desert has often called to me, and I've never known why, since I am from the Caribbean islands! :)

Thank you for sharing so much of yourself in this post. I could relate on every level and actually with all the feelings, because it's been that kind of year for me, too!

Thank you for voicing feelings, I could not write, you are a true sage for those of us who do not have the "telling" talent that you do! I'm a visual artist, so for me, I try to do my telling with paintings.

Thank you again, and I look forward to reading more from your writing well! Happy New Year, and may your mermaids give you a wealth of knowledge to share with the rest of us.Indigene Theresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07455343121396299373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-657778252610307364.post-5574870145815825682011-12-31T11:47:22.358-08:002011-12-31T11:47:22.358-08:00Ah Kim.. such a beautiful blog. I have been a water person my whole life... I used to think I would crack and bleed and dry up in the desert. Then I went this summer with my bff and found I sort of liked the desert... so who knows *smile* I am glad you have a place of peace and serenity where you can write and connect. That's all just happy for me because it means a new book ;). Peace to you.MaryKatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13738880495595989101noreply@blogger.com
